Iona Noble
Died, on Sunday morning last, at the home of her parents, after a brief illness of inflammation of the bowels, Miss Iona Noble, aged 16 years, 10 months and 18 days. The deceased was a general favorite among her associates and their deep sorrow was manifest at the funeral. She was a bright, happy, lovable girl and all who were favored with her acquaintance regarded her as a friend. She was a member of the I.O.G.T. Lodge and used her influence in the promotion of the cause of temperance. The funeral was held from the Christian Church on Tuesday, the services being conducted by Rev: J.W. Eckles and the remains were escorted to the Manning Cemetery by the I.O.G.T. and A.O.U.W. Lodges and a large concourse of friends. The sorrowing parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement.

Of Manning Lodge, No. 351, I.O.G.T., Manning, Iowa: WHEREAS, It has pleased Almighty
God to remove from our midst our sister, Iona Noble, an estimable and active member of
this lodge; therefore be it
Resolved, That we deem it our duty and pleasure to express the high esteem and regard
in which she was held, not only by this lodge, but by the people of the community.
Resolved, That we express to the bereaved family of the deceased, in their deep sorrow,
our heartfelt sympathy.
Resolved, That copies of these resolutions be presented to the family of the deceased,
and to the Manning MONITOR for publication, and that they be spread upon the records
of the lodge.
