Mrs. Pfoltner, the daughter of Henry and Siena (Jensen) Kai was born February 16, 1890, in Crawford County. She attended rural schools in the area and married George Pfoltner February 16, 1908. They lived on a farm southwest of Manning. Her husband died June 5, 1956. She continued for live on the farm and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church here.
She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Earl (Lorene) Pfannkuch and Mrs. Lee Merrill (Phyllis) Callender both of Manning, one son Harold Pfoltner of Lincoln, Nebraska, four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son and six sisters.
Pallbearers will be John Hendry, Stephen Neukirch, Jerrold Callender, Patrick Callender, Gerald Jurgensen, and Harold Jurgensen.
