Mrs. Ida Wiese, 87, long-time resident of the Manning community, died early Friday morning April 10, 1970, at her home here. She was a native of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and came to the United States as a small child.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Ohde Funeral Home here, with Rev. Robert Rushing of the Presbyterian Church presiding. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Born February 18, 1883, in Germany, she was the daughter of John and Augusta (Benning) Hagedorn. She was married in 1902 to Ben Wiese, and they made their home in Manning. Following his death on September 17, 1945, Mrs. Wiese continued to live in Manning.
Survivors are three children, Mrs. W.O. (Effie) Bailey, Portland, Oregon; George Wiese of Schaller; and Mrs. Werner (Erma) Reiff of Buck Grove; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
