HUGO VOLLSTEDT
Hugo Vollstedt, 61, Manning died about 8 a.m. Tuesday, January 14, 1964, at Manning General Hospital. He has been employed by Carroll County in road maintenance work for more than 20 years until retiring because of his health two years ago.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in Manning Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr. Vollstedt was born November 22, 1902, in Ewoldt Township, a son of William and Cecilia (Kuhl) Vollstedt. They lived on a farm south of Manning, and he attended rural schools. He worked with his father on the farm until his marriage to Evelyn Schumann at Carroll on February 6, 1929.
