MRS. HILDA SCHROEDER
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 13, at 11 a.m. at the Zion
Lutheran Church in Manning for Mrs. Hilda Schroeder, 82, of Manning. Pastor
Edward F. Heinicke officiated with burial in the Manning Cemetery.
Hilda Schroeder, daughter of Jacob and Christine Nissen Sievertsen, was born on August 13, 1891, in Iowa Township. She attended a rural school near her home and was united in marriage to Hermuth Schroeder on December 3, 1913. They farmed in Iowa Township. Though her husband passed away on February 14, 1941, she continued to live on the farm until moving to Manning in 1950.
Due to her health, she moved to the Manning Plaza last April, and she died there early Saturday morning, November 10, 1973. Hilda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, her parents, three sisters and for brothers.
Survivors include three children: Harold Schroeder, Orren Schroeder and Mrs. Alvan (Elaine) Hansen, all of Manning; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
