HERMAN B. STUHR

Herman B. Stuhr, 90, a retired Glidden farmer, died Sunday, June 23, 1985, at his home here.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with the Rev. David Fechner, Pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be grandsons: Dean, Don, David, and Richard Stuhr, Dick, Duane, and Harry Brus, and Jerry Elston.

Friends may call at the Glidden Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Stuhr is survived by a son, Amos Stuhr and his wife Mildred, Glidden; 18 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Eva and Mrs. Edna Klinkefus, both of Glidden, and a brother Charles Stuhr, Manning.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Margaretha in 1978; three children: Alta (Stuhr) Brus, Helen Heckman, and Alvin Stuhr; three brothers and five sisters.

Mr. Stuhr was born in Shelby County, April 24, 1895, a son of Charles and Emma (Langbehn-Bock) Stuhr. He was married to Margaretha J. Janssen on June 24, 1918, at Manning. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church.
