HERMAN WILHELM ROSS
Funeral services for Herman Wilhelm Ross, 82, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning by Pastor Edward F. Heinicke, pastor. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Born January 4, 1886, in Lincoln Township of Audubon County, he was the son of Fred and Mary (Witt) Ross. He lived in Lincoln Township until his marriage January 27, 1909, to Mary Juergens. They lived near Manning, later moving to Spirit Lake. Later they moved to Mountain Lake and Darfur, Minnesota, where she died August 7, 1949. He returned to Manning and lived with his sister, Mrs. Emma Barten, until her death two years ago.

He lived for a year at Audubon and for the last year in Manning, having been a resident of the Manning Plaza for the last three weeks. He died there unexpectedly Saturday evening, June 8, 1968.

Survivors include a brother, August of Livermore, California, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Borkowski of Manning and Mrs. Sophie Juergens of Audubon. He was predeceased by his wife; a brother, Fred Ross of Manning; a sister, Mrs. Emma Barten, and three brothers and sisters in infancy.
