HERMAN J. MUSFELDT
Herman J. Musfeldt, 74, of Manning died unexpectedly at his home here Saturday afternoon.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning, after 2 p.m. Monday.

Mr. Musfeldt, son of John and Minnie (Hell) Musfeldt, was born on April 28, 1903, in Crawford County, Iowa. He attended Ewoldt No. 2 rural school near his home in Carroll County. His marriage to Lydia Asmus took place on February 3, 1927. They farmed in the Manning area until they moved to Manning in 1962. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning and had served as an elder of the church.

Surviving are his wife, Lydia; a daughter, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Younie of Yankton, South Dakota; and three sons, David of Arcadia, Tom of Manilla, and Sam of Audubon; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Albert of Manning; Ed of Omaha, Nebraska; and Robert of Sarasota, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. Malinda Johansen of Harlan and Mrs. Elda Gaskill of Audubon.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John.


Herman Musfeldt is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
