Burial was at Manning City Cemetery.
Pastor Sushil Joseph of United Methodist Church in Manning officiated the services.
Casket bearers were Larry Vodenik, Gregg Wiese, Ronald Wiese, Michael Wiese, Douglas Wiese, Robert Wiese, and Milford Wiese.
Born November 26, 1899, in Lincoln Township in Audubon County, Iowa, Mr. Wiese was a son of Fred and Matilda (Goettsch) Wiese.
On December 17, 1919, he was married to Emma Boyens. The family lived in the Manilla and Audubon areas. Mr. Wiese worked at the Roundhouse in Manilla for the Milwaukee Railroad and later farmed in the Audubon area. He also worked for Carlson Hybrid Seed Corn Co. in Audubon.
Mr. Wiese and his wife moved to the Manilla Manor in 1979 because of Emma's failing health. She died in November 1984.
Mr. Wiese had been hospitalized for the past month.
Mr. Wiese is survived by three sons: Amos and his wife, Thelma, of Golden, Colorado; Merlin and his wife, Marilynn of Auburn, Washington; and Roger and his wife, Karen, of Milford; one daughter, Inez Vodenik of Perry; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law: Elizabeth (Boyens) Dammann of Denison.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; five brothers: Bill, Conrad, Fred, Herbert, and Louie; and two sisters: Ann Hargens and Alma Grau.
