HENRY RADDEN
Funeral rites for Henry John Radden, 86, former Irwin resident, were held on Wednesday morning, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Irwin Methodist Church, with Rev. Nancy Nichols officiating. Milton Barry was soloist, accompanied by Ruth Barry. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Irwin, with the Ohde Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Radden was born July 4, 1882, in Arcadia, son of Henry and Mary (Lille) Radden. He was married on January 26, 1916, to Mary Heesch at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The couple lived in Halbur, where he was a station agent for the Chicago North Western Railway until moving to Irwin in 1922. He served as agent there until his retirement.

He had lived in a Des Moines nursing home for several years and died there on Sunday afternoon, December 8, 1968.

Mr. Radden is survived by four children: Mrs. Adrian (Ruby) Desbien, Scott City, Kansas; Pershing H. Radden, Shenandoah; Marvin H. Radden, Des Moines; and Mrs. John (Helen) Van Asselt, Irwin.
