HENRY BARTHOLD POPP

Services are set for Tuesday, July 3, for Henry Barthold Popp, 79, who died at Manning General Hospital Saturday, June 30, 1979.

The services are scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke is expected to officiate.

Casketbearers are to be Marvin Gaer, Kurt Stribe, Darwin Haskins, Milford Wiese, Amos Lohmeier, and Louis Hagedorn.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Popp is the son of Dethlef and Fredericka (Jentzen) Popp. He was born May 4, 1900, in Manning.

He spent his youth on a farm near Halbur. He then farmed near Arcadia and later became a representative for Murphy Products Co. in Manning until his retirement.

He married Anna Frahm January 27, 1926.

He is survived by his wife: two sons, Robert of Marshalltown and Richard of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren: a brother, Louis of Manning; and two sisters, Mamie Eich of Manning, and Wilma Wiese of Schaller.

He was preceded in death by his parents: five brothers, William, Dethlef, Otto, Elmer, and Erwin; and two sisters, Annie Epsin and Esther Bohnsack.
