HENRY OHRT
Henry Ohrt, 89, former Manning resident, died late Saturday night, October 17, 1964, at the Baptist Memorial Home in Harlan where he had lived for several years.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Zion Lutheran Church here, with interment in Manning Cemetery. Pastor G.C. Hattendorf will officiate. Pallbearers will be Eustace Lake, Louis Musfeldt, Albert Stoelk, Herman Ruhde, Thomas Doyle, and Peter Jurgensen. Arrangements are in charge of the Ohde Funeral Home.

Mr. Ohrt was born July 21, 1875, in Feddringer, Germany. He came to the United States at the age of six years and settled near Westside. On January 17, 1902, he was married to Emelia Hagge. They farmed in Carroll County, then near Botna before retiring and moving into Manning in 1927. Mrs. Ohrt died in 1956, and Mr. Ohrt moved to the Home in Harlan that same year.

He is survived by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold (Gladys) Sonksen, Botna.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
