Former Manning Resident Dies in Rochester, Minnesota
Henry Ohde, 60, died at Rochester, Minnesota, Thursday, January 15, 1942, after being in Rochester two days. He had been ill for some time. His brother, George of Manning was with him at the time of his death.

Mr. Ohde was born in Scott County, Iowa. When quite young he came to Manning with his parents, who were pioneers of this vicinity. He attended the Manning Schools and grew to manhood here. Later he moved to Des Moines. For several years he has made his home in Seattle, Washington, where he followed his profession as contractor. The body was sent to Seattle for burial.

He is survived by his wife, and one son, Robert; two brothers, George of Manning and Charles of Seattle; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Merkel of Mentor, Ohio.

William Ohde, Sr., of Manning is a cousin.
