HENRY FREDRICK MUSFELDT

Funeral services for Henry Fredrick Musfeldt were held Saturday, February 3, 1990, at 1:00 p.m. at Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Reverend Richard Burrack of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lincoln Township, Audubon County officiated the service with Margaret Backhaus as vocalist and Connie Siepker as organist. Interment was in Manning City Cemetery in Manning with Leroy Albertsen, John Leo, Willis Lohmeier, Karl Albertsen, Amos Lohmeier and Brian Irlbeck as casketbearers.

Henry Fredrick, son of William and Katie (Paulsen) Musfeldt, was born October 9, 1910, in Shelby County, Iowa. He moved with his family to Audubon County where he grew up and attended country school. Henry was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Lincoln Township. As a young man he worked as hired help on various farms. In 1941 he started to farm for himself southeast of Manning. Due to his health he moved to Manning in 1979.

After a long illness, Henry died on Tuesday, January 30, 1990, at Manning General Hospital at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 21 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, Arnold, who was killed in World War II.

Henry is survived by a brother, William Musfeldt, of Manning; by three sisters: Mrs. Elsie Puck, of Manilla; Ella and her husband, Henry Sonksen, of Carroll; and Doris and her husband, Lawrence Warren, of Trenton, Missouri; and by nieces, a nephew, other relatives and friends.
