Henry Ruhde and Flora S. Ruhde

Joint services will be conducted at a.m. Tuesday in be Hanford English Seventh-day Adventist Church for Henry and Flora S. Ruhde, who died Thursday, October 26, 1989, of injuries received in an auto accident north of Hanford, California. Burial will be in the Exeter District Cemetery, Exeter, California.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Monday at People's Funeral Chapel.

Henry Ruhde 78, and his wife, Flora M., had been Hanford residents since 1978 and had been home care providers. They retired only recently after nine years' service as houseparents for the Kings Rehabilitation Workshop's residential homes.

Both were members of the Hanford English Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Mr. Ruhde was born in Manning, Iowa, August 7, 1911, and for 20 years was a maintenance man for the Oliveview Hospital in Los Angeles County.

He is survived by four daughters, Zola Belle Thompson of Sunland, Alice Humphrey of Porterville, Carolyn Beyer of Kissimmee, Florida; and Rose Minor of Portland, Oregon; two brothers, Emil and Bill Ruhde, both of Des Moines, Iowa; 16 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruhde was a native of Nogales, Arizona, was born September 16, 1927.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvonne Wilson of Hanford and Rachel Renfrow of Newhall, California; her mother, Ann Sanchez of Hanford, California; three sisters, Esther Crandall of Angwin, California; Charlotte Brown of Santa Paula, California; and Rae Clegg of Yountville, California; and six grandchildren.
