In Memory of Helen Williams
Helen Williams, 90, of Halbur, died Saturday evening,
September 11, 2010, at Sunnybrook Assisted Living in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian burial will be
celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, at St. Augustine Catholic
Church in Halbur.
Celebrant will be the Rev. Dale Reiff. Con-celebrant will be the Rev. Leo Riesberg.
Lectors will be granddaughters, Jill
Schoeppner and Angie Gilligan. Gift Bearers will be granddaughters, Brenda
Schoeppner and Jacque Gingerich. Soloists will be
Maureen and Ron Halbur.
Honorary casketbearers are
grandchildren, Bruce Williams, Chad Hoffman, Jason Williams, Keith Pietig,
Chris Williams, Angie Gilligan, Todd Pietig, Jacque Gingerich, Jill Schoeppner, and Brenda Schoeppner.
Casketbearers will be grandsons,
Michael Williams, Brad Williams, Jared Williams, Joel Pietig,
Erik Hoffman, and Cory Williams.
Burial will be at St. Augustine
Cemetery in Halbur.

Home in Carroll after 3:30 p.m. today.
A rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m.
today. There will be a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. today by St. Augustine
Parish.
Helen was born on February 10, 1920, at Roselle, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Hoffman) Sibenaller. She attended Holy Angels Catholic School in Roselle. On August 13, 1946, she was married to Cyril P. Williams at Holy Angels Church in Roselle with the Rev. Joseph Sibenaller, S.J., officiating. The couple farmed in the Manning area until 1969 when they moved to Halbur. Helen was a homemaker and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish and the Parish Ladies Guild. Helen enjoyed her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, David Williams and wife Janice of Carroll, Allen Williams and wife Mary of Charles City, LuAnn Williams of Iowa City, Karen Pietig and husband Randy of Carroll, Marla Hoffman and husband Gary of Schaller, Roger Williams and wife Pam of Slater, and Peggy Schoeppner and husband Dale of Hastings, Minnesota; sixteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; her brothers, Greg Sibenaller and wife Clara of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, Lawrence Sibenaller and wife Mary Ann of Carroll, and Eugene Sibenaller and wife Lois of Earling; sisters, Rita Hackfort of Carroll, Anita Williams of Austin, Minnesota, and Olga Sibenaller of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Louis Williams of Carroll; sisters-in-law, Catherine Irlmeier of Manning, Ida Hoffmann of Carroll, Esther Williams of Manning, Bernice Williams of Roselle, and Velma Williams of Halbur; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cyril Williams, in February 2008; her parents; two infant sons, Keith and Cyril Williams; an infant granddaughter, Mary Williams; parents-in-law, Anton and Ida Williams; step-brother, Father Joseph Sibenaller; step-sister, Catherine Steffes; a brother, Ed Sibenaller; brothers-in-law, Edward Meier, Albert Irlmeier, Ralph Hoffmann, Leo Williams, Tony Williams, Virgil Williams, Lambert Hackfort, Walter Riesberg, and Raymond Williams; and sisters-in-law, Sophie Sibenaller, Martha Riesberg, Betty Williams, and Rita Meier.
