MRS. LESTER WIESE
Mrs. Lester (Helen Elizabeth) Wiese, 75, of Manning died at noon Saturday October 15, 1977, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Carroll.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Presbyterian Church, Manning with Rev. Joel Wright officiating. Interment will be in the Manning Cemetery under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home, Manning.

Mrs. Wiese, Daughter of Samuel and Helen Spurrier, was born December 22, 1901, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. She received her education at the Mt. Ayr Schools. Following graduation, there, she attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, majoring in public school music with her first teaching post in Afton, followed by an appointment to the music department of the Manning Public Schools. Her marriage to Lester D. Wiese took place on October 11, 1925. She was active in the partnership operation of the Wiese and Sons Hereford Farms, Manning.

Surviving are her husband, Lester of Manning and two sons: Samuel Edward and Eugene Lester Wiese, both of Manning; two sisters, Margaret R. Tennant of Seal Beach, California, and Myrtle Stewart of Des Moines; six grandchildren, Barbara, Mary and Nancy, daughters of Sam and Millicent Wiese and Helen, David and Kathryn, children of Gene and Jean Wiese.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Franklin, and a grandson, Douglas.
