Heinie Scharnhorst Services were held at Edinburg, Texas, for Heinrich Scharnhorst, 66, who died in an Edinburg hospital January 31, 1968. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Edinburg, Texas.

Mr. Scharnhorst was born November 28, 1901, in Germany, son of Henry and Sophie (Wilhelms) Scharnhorst. He came to the United States as a child and lived at Manning, Iowa, for five years before moving to Egan, South Dakota, where he farmed.

Mr. Scharnhorst was spending the winter months in Texas at the time of his death.

Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. John Stombaugh, Mrs. Lena Masemann and Elly Scharnhorst, all of Egan, South Dakota; Mrs. C.B. Herbert of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Mrs. D.L. Thompson of Ramona; two brothers, Arthur and Walter, both of Edinburg, Texas.
