Hazel Moerke was born September 18, 1891, at Des Moines, daughter of Paul and Lillian (Anthony) Moerke. As a girl she moved with her family to Sioux City and later Manning, Iowa, where she completed her education. After her marriage to Dick Stuedeman March 4, 1914, at Carroll, Iowa, they lived in Carroll for one year. They moved to Springfield. Minnesota, for two years and then returned to Manning where they resided until 1923. In 1923, they moved to a farm in Moody County and in 1946 they moved into Flandreau.
Survivors include the widower; a son, Ralph, Flandreau; a sister, Lola Moerke, Flandreau; three granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
