Harry, son of Fred and Emma Ruge Musfeldt, was born May 17, 1915 in Iowa Township, Crawford County, Iowa. He attended the rural schools near his home and graduated from the Manning High School in 1932. He was united in marriage with Dorothea Schrum on September 7, 1944. They have farmed on the place of his birth since that time.
Harry passed away suddenly at his home on Monday evening, September 19, 1977 at the age of 62 years, 4 months and 2 days.
Harry was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manning and had served the congregation as chairman and as a member of the board of trustees.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Dorothea, and by the following children: Charlene, Mrs. Joseph McQuire, Pella, Iowa; Mary, Mrs. James Schleis, Waterloo, Iowa; Steven, Kansas City, Missouri; Douglas, Kansas City, Missouri; Stanley, Manning; and Carol, a student at the State University of Iowa, Iowa City; by 8 grandchildren and the following brothers and sister - Carl Musfeldt, Aspinwall; Don Musfeldt, Bridgewater, New Jersey; and Alice, Mrs. Harold Beck, Manning as well as many other relatives and friends.
