HARRY MARTENS SR. Harry Claudius Martens, Sr., 74, Buck Grove, died Wednesday afternoon, February 7, 1962, at Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denson after a short illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 10 at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning. Officiating will be the Rev. Bruce, R. Sommerfieldt, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church in Buck Grove.

Burial will be In the Manning Cemetery. Family services will be held Saturday morning, with the Rev. Theodore Tews of Arcadia in charge.

Mr. Martens is survived by his wife Sophia (Koepke) Martens; seven children: Mrs. Herbert (Lorraine) Ewoldt, Lytton; Frank Martens, Wall Lake; Mrs. Milda Hansen, Denison; Mrs. Herman (Bernice) Mohns, Westside; Harry Martens, Buck Grove; Mrs. Harry (Louella) Karstens, Breda; and Leonard Martens, Carroll; 27 grandchildren: 22 great-grandchildren.

Son of William and Margaretha (Ewoldt) Martens, he was born July 26, 1886.
