Hans Puck

Manning Monitor

Mr. Hans Puck, one of this township's most highly respected citizens, died at his home three miles east of the city, on the morning of December 30. He was born fifty years ago in Germany and had been a resident of this vicinity since 1882. Mr. Puck leaves a wife and two sons to mourn his departure. The sons are, respectively, 9 and 15 years of age.

The funeral was held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon and interment took place in the Manning Cemetery. Mr. Puck had a large circle of friends and these were present to pay their last respects.

A couple of weeks before his death, while in the city, Mr. Puck remarked to a friend that he had never known what it was to be tired or sick, little thinking then that on New Years day his friends would be called upon to follow his body to the verge of the grave.

Hans Puck is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
