Obituary.
Hannes Clause Mundt was born July 27, 1866 in Kiel, Germany. Died in Gray, Iowa, September 27, 1907; age 41 years, 1 month and 29 days.

His parents came to America when he was one year old, settling in Clinton County, Iowa. From there they came to Carroll County where he has resided.

He was married to Anna Ludwig in July 1894 and to them was born one son. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife and little boy, a mother, Mrs. Anna Mundt, a brother, Herman Mundt of Manning and five step-children, Mrs. Perion, Herman, Fred, Peter and Willie Ludwig.

The funeral was held at the Gray M.E. Church, Sunday September 29. A large concourse of people assembled to pay their respects to him, Rev. Golden of Manning conducted the services. Mr. Mundt had many friends and will be missed at Gray.
