GEORGE A. WENTZEL
George Albert Wentzel, 78, died unexpectedly at his home here Sunday evening, October 30, 1966. He was a meat cutter and operated a locker plant here until his retirement in 1962.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Zion Lutheran Church, Manning, with Pastor Edward Heinicke officiating. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Wentzel was born January 9, 1888, on a farm in Grant Township, Carroll County. In 1895, he came to Manning with his parents, Carl and Luine (Peters) Wentzel, and attended Manning schools. His marriage to Emma Hass took place August 3, 1915, and they have made their home here since.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ben D. (Mildred) Joens, Manning; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Louise Sundberg of Oakland, California.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
