George Wegner, 75, Of Manning Dies
George Wegner, Sr., 75, died late Tuesday afternoon at the Manning General Hospital. Mr. Wegner, a retired farmer, apparently suffered a heart attack while working in the field of his son, George, Jr. He was taken to the hospital, where he died about two hours later.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home. The Rev. Gordon Zimmerman, minister of the Audubon Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.

Mr. Wegner was born December 7, 1877, in Crawford County. He and Mrs. Wegner have lived in Manning the last five or six years. Surviving with his wife, the former Bertha Kuhl, are three sons, Edwin and George, Jr., both living near Manning, and Carl, who lives in Idaho.

He also leaves sisters, brothers and grandchildren.
