Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at the United Methodist Church in Gray with the Rev. Don Burket officiating. Wayne Hansen will be vocalist, accompanied by Lorene Klever. Burial, under the direction of the Ohde Funeral Home of Manning, will be in the Manning Cemetery. Serving as casketbearers will be Dale, Roger, Ralph, and Lauron Musfeldt, William Gruhn, and Earl Singsank.

Mr. Schroeder is survived by a sister, Verna Musfeldt, rural Manning; four nephews: Dale Musfeldt, Ankeny, Iowa; Roger Musfeldt, Omaha, Nebraska; Ralph Musfeldt, Boulder, Colorado; and Lauron Musfeldt of the Chicago area; great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Alta Wilson and his brother-in-law LeRoy Musfeldt.

Mr. Schroeder was born September 8, 1917, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, a son of Peter H. and Mae C. (Stribe) Schroeder. He attended Gray, Iowa, Consolidated School and graduated in 1935. He was active in community affairs in Gray. A lifelong farmer, he lived on the family farm in Lincoln Township.

In 1982, he retired and moved into Manning.
