Mrs. Fredericka Ohrt, 95, of Manning died Friday, January 9, 1976, at the Manning Plaza Nursing Home, where she has resided for the last six years.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ohde Funeral Home here, with burial, in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. Donald Jones, minister of the United Methodist Church, officiated.
Mrs. Ohrt was the widow of Peter Ohrt, a pioneer in the Manning Light Plant and owner of one of the First Ford auto agencies in this area. In later years they made their home at Okoboji, and following his death in 1953 she returned to live in Manning. Before entering the nursing home she lived with a sister, Mrs. Greta Carstens.
She was born at Gray October 24, 1880, a daughter of Jurgen and Marie (Schluntz) Schroeder.
Survivors include a brother, Bismarck "Bid" Schroeder of Hawthorne, Nebraska; two sisters, Mrs. Amos W. (Elsie) Carlile, and Mrs. Carstens, both of Manning.
