Fred Zarmstorff was born on the 14th day of July 1834, in Saxony, Germany. His aged wife preceded him in death the 16th day of February 1913, at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 5 days. According to wise providence his sojourn here below should not exceed that of his wife by a great margin. Old and deprived of all vitality his end was near at hand. After an illness of less than a week's duration he died on Thursday morning May 1, 1913, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 17 days.

The funeral was held Saturday a.m. from the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Fruechte officiating.
