Manning, Iowa, January 25, 1897
Fred Sutler, Sr., who lives about five miles south of town, while coming down stairs from the office of Attorney D. Rogers, in the Barber block, slipped and fell. He must have sustained internal injuries, for he lived only fifteen minutes after the fall.
