At the marriage feast of Chris Frerk and Anna Heesch which occurred in Lincoln Township September 25th last, and while in the height of the entertainment where the young and old of their nationality for miles around had assembled, Mr. Fred Ross, while near the cellar door, lost his balance and fell down the stairs to the floor below, sustaining a severe injury to the knee-cap which finally formed a blood clot that soon terminated in his death on October 21, 1907.

Mr. Ross, born December 16, 1855, was a good citizen, a kind husband, an indulgent parent and a model farmer."
