FRANK MUHLBAUER

Frank Xavier, son of Joseph and Johanna Muhlbauer, was born February 9, 1909, in Halbur, Iowa. He attended the Halbur schools.

He was united in marriage with Margaret Horbach November 18, 1930. They farmed in the Halbur and Templeton area and then moved to the Manilla farming community. He retired to live in Manilla in 1972. Frank died suddenly at his son's farm on February 23, 1979, at the age of 70 years, and 14 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret and the following children, Colette, Mrs. John Willenborg of Templeton, Connie, Mrs. Richard Faber of Fort Dodge, David of Vail, Allen of Texas, Paul of Williamstown, New Jersey, Lyle of Manilla and Stephen of Manning. Also by 23 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by the following sisters, Mrs. Frances Irlmeier of Carroll, Mrs. Joe Riesselman, Sr. of Carroll, Mrs. Ann Hugeback of Manning, and Mrs. Clarence Fangman of Templeton.

Frank was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish of Manilla and of the Holy Name Society of the church.

Mass of Christian burial was February 26, at 11:00 a.m. Celebrant was Rev. Fr. Robert Fangman.

Pallbearers were grandsons. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Manilla.

Ohde Funeral Home, Manilla was in charge of arrangements.
