Funeral services for Mrs. Frances Louise Moser, 93, Manning's eldest resident, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home. Mrs. Moser died early Thursday morning, February 27, 1964, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. D.R. McGrath, with whom she had made her home.
The Rev. Carl Sinning, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate at the rites. Bonita (Mrs. Herman W.) Hagedorn will be organist and Ray Pratt, soloist. Burial will be in Manning Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be the following grandsons and great-grandsons: Ralph McGrath, Robert McGrath, Arved Stangl, Ray Pratt, Dan Pratt, and Kelly Pratt.
Mrs. Moser was born December 7, 1870, at Davenport, a daughter of Albert and Caroline (Uhde) Von Egert. On May 30, 1887, she married Dr. Louis F. Moser at Council Bluffs. They lived in Council Bluffs, Earling, Persia and Portsmouth before moving to Manning about 70 years ago. Dr. Moser practiced medicine at each of the towns and was a pioneer physician here. He died March 6, 1916.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Moser was preceded in death by an infant daughter, two sons, Erwin and Ralph in 1941; two step-sons, Aurel and Camil Moser; one brother and one sister.
Surviving are one son, A.E. Moser, Ames; two daughters, Mrs. D.R. (Marie) McGrath, Manning, and Mrs. C.L. (Melitta) Palmatary, Wilmington, Delaware; six grandchildren, R.H. McGrath, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Pratt, Mrs. Arved (Mary) Stangl, Manning; R.M. McGrath, Des Moines; Paul B. Moser, Fremont, Nebraska; and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Sawin, San Carlos, California; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are six sisters, Mrs. Frieda Swarm, Mrs. Amelia LaNoue and Mrs. Lea Keeler, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Hadie Clayton and Mrs. Paula Dohrmann, North Hollywood, California; and Mrs. Irma Bouquet, St. Helena, California.
