EMMA WILHELMINA VINKE
Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Wilhelmina Vinke, 62, of Manning were held on Thursday morning, August 5, 1971, at Zion Lutheran Church in Manning, of which she was a member. Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiated with burial in the Manning Cemetery. Nephews acted as casket bearers.

Daughter of William F. and Amelia (Kai) Walter, she was born August 19, 1908, in Hayes Township, Crawford County, and attended rural schools. She was married on April 24, 1929, to Julius Vinke. They lived near the Five Mile House, and moved to Manning in 1936.

Mrs. Vinke died on Monday evening, August 2, 1971, at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, following an extended illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Alfred Walter, and two sisters, Leona and Mrs. Anna Weinbrandt.

She is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Henry (Malinda) Vinke, Manning; William, Walter, Arcadia; Mrs. A.H. (Mamie) Steiner, Westside; Mrs. Gordon (Cecil) Sievertsen, Harlan; Louis Walter, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Charles (Arlene) Elwell, Denison, and Ivan Walter, Worthington, Minnesota.
