MRS. EMMA VASOS
Mrs. Emma Bernice Vasos, 78, of 314 North West Street, Carroll, died at her home at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 1972, following a long illness. She was the widow of Gus Vasos.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Carroll, with the Rev. Allan M. Peterson officiating. Maureen Ohde was organist and accompanied Herbert L. Hudson as he sang "Beyond the Sunset."

Pallbearers were Milo Embree, Tom Embree, Louis Bohnsack, Ramon Gardels, Voshel Moorman, and Warren Knight. Burial was in the Carroll City Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home of Carroll.

Mrs. Vasos was born January 7, 1894, at Manning, a daughter of Christian J. and Anna (Nissen) Bohnsack. She married Mr. Vasos at Carroll, August 9, 1943, and they moved from Manning to Carroll 27 years ago. He died September 5, 1970.

Mrs. Vasos was a member of First Presbyterian Church, United Presbyterian Women, Royal Neighbors of America, the Rebekah Lodge, and a "Gold Star" member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two step-sons, William G. Vasos of Carroll and Charles G. Vasos of Orlando, Florida; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; a brother, William Bohnsack of Mapleton; and several nieces and nephews.

Her first marriage in 1926, was to William Stoelk of Manning.
