Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mincey, 64, of Manning were held at the Ohde Funeral Home here at 2 p.m. September 16, 1967.
The Rev. Andrew Stewart-Morris, minister of the Manning Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery. Leonard Farrell, Ralph Hagedorn, Hugo Jahn, Merlyn Hargens, Charles Laverty, and Ralph Grundmeier were pallbearers.
Mrs. Mincey died September 13, 1967, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines after a long illness. A daughter of Richard Samuel and Sara E. (Tate) Keat, she was born here September 26, 1902, and attended Manning schools. On June 21, 1927, she married James Walter Mincey, and they lived in Racine, Wisconsin, for two years and then moved to Manning. Mr. Mincey died in September 1935.
She is survived by three children, Mrs. Don (Betty) Newbiggin of Spirit Lake; Mrs. Richard (Darlene) Swanson and Richard Mincey, Des Moines; five grandchildren; two brothers, John Keat of Manning and George Keat, Carroll; and two sisters, Mabel Keat, Manning, and Nell Keat, Omaha, Nebraska.
Besides her husband, one grandchild, three brothers, and a sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mincey was a member of the Methodist Church and its Woman's Society of Christian Service, and also of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
