Emil Stuedemann

Emil Stuedemann, 86, of DeWitt, died Monday, December 22, 1969, at this home.

The funeral service will be at 1 pm Wednesday in the Grace Lutheran Church in DeWitt with the Rev. Wenzel Tolson officiating. Burial will be in the Center Grove Cemetery, north of Elvira. Visitation will be after 2 pm today in the McGinnis funeral home in DeWitt.

Mr. Stuedemann was born on December 6, 1883, north of DeWitt to Rudolph and Dora (Claussen) Stuedemann. He married Henrietta Mohr on February 2, 1910, in Manning. She died and he married Nicoline Gradert on April 18, 1934, in Rock Island. He had farmed most of his life in Clinton County and was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Dorothy) Rathje of Clinton and Mrs. Duane (Ruth) Huebbe of Grand Mound; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Dick of Flandreau, South Dakota, and a sister, Mrs. Hellen Mulling of Los Angeles, California. He was preceded in death by his first wife, two brothers and two sisters.
