Funeral services for Mrs. Elsie Polzin, 70, Manning, were held on Wednesday, July 15, 1970, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor E. F. Heinicke officiating, Dorothy Kusel organist. Burial was in the Manning Cemetery.

Mrs. Polzin died unexpectedly at her home in Manning on Sunday, July 12.

Daughter of Fred and Maggie Ahrendsen David, she was born May 5, 1900, in Jefferson Township, Shelby County, She attended rural schools and the Manning schools.

She was married to Julius Polzin on Sept. 26, 1918, at Manning. They farmed in the area until 1934, when they moved to Gray. In 1943 they moved to Manning, Mr. Polzin died March 9, 1970, and she continued to live here.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Earl; her parents and a sister, Bertha David.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Arlene) French and Mrs. George (Gladys) Musfeldt, both of rural Manilla; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Louise) Rudnick of Manning.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.


Elsie Polzin is buried in the Manning City Cemetery.
