MRS. WILLIE SCHROEDER
Funeral rites for Mrs. Willie (Elsie Margaret) Schroeder, 75, were held on Saturday, February 24, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church here with Pastor Edward F. Heinicke officiating. Burial was in Hayes Township Cemetery, with nephews as pallbearers. The body was at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning until time of services.

Daughter of John and Anna Lemster Joens, she was born February 2, 1893, in Hayes Township, Crawford County. She attended rural schools and was married on August 31, 1911, to Willie Schroeder. The couple had three children. They farmed in Hayes Township until retiring to Manning on March 1, 1949.

Mrs. Schroeder died unexpectedly at her home in Manning February 21, 1968. She was preceded in death by two daughters, one in infancy and Mrs. Alfred (Lorraine) Dammann in 1954; and three sisters, Mrs. Henry (Emma) Lohrmann, Mrs. Julius (Amanda) Molter and Mrs. Harry (Laura) Kruse.

She is survived by her husband, a son, Berdell, at home; two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Diane) Riley, Deloit, and Dennis Dammann, Manning; and a great-grandchild.
