Ellen A. Trout, age 81, of Logan, Iowa died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at the Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa. Ellen was born September 13, 1920 in Aspinwall, Iowa, to George and Anne (Ehrichs) Schade. Ellen was married to Ralph Trout, January 16, 1945, in Logan, Iowa. She was a cosmetologist for many years in Logan. Ellen was an active member of the Christian Church in Logan, the American Legion Auxiliary, and she worked with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was docent at the Harrison County Historical Museum and she enjoyed playing cards. Ellen enjoyed quilting and she made quilts for family members.

Survivors include her husband: Ralph of Logan, Iowa; children: Michael Trout and wife Nancy of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; daughter: Pamela Schechinger and husband Dave of Farmington, New Mexico; Steve Trout and wife Marie of Kansas City, Kansas; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa.

The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church in Logan following the committal service at the cemetery.
