Obituary from the Madison (South Dakota) Daily Leader, December 3, 1962

Miss Ella A. Shea, Sioux City, Iowa, former Madison resident, died Sunday in a Sioux City Nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father William Schmitt officiating. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Weiland Funeral chapel. The body will lie in state at the Weiland Funeral chapel from Tuesday noon until time of services. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery with Weiland Funeral Chapel in charge of the arrangements. Miss Shea was born November 13, 1882, in Manning, Iowa. She was a resident of Lake County most of her life and was a former bookkeeper at The Madison Daily Leader for about 26 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Church, Madison. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Bornholtz, Sioux City, Iowa; Miss Loretta Shea, St. Paul, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews.
