MRS. ELLA K. ROWEDDER
Mrs. Ella Katherine Rowedder, 76, a resident of the Manning Plaza for the last few months, died Monday morning, May 29, 1972, at Manning General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Manning with Pastor Edward Heinicke officiating. Nephews will be pallbearers.

Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery with the Ohde Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rowedder was born October 25, 1885, in Muscatine County, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (Jipp) Mordhorst. She came to Crawford County as a young girl. Her marriage to John Rowedder took place December 8, 1915.

The couple lived a year in Manning and then farmed northwest of Aspinwall. They retired and moved to Manning in 1953; Mr. Rowedder died January 12, 1965.

Mrs. Rowedder is survived by 5 children, Gilbert of Tempe, Arizona; Mrs. Wilmer (Berdine) Ehrichs of Denison; and LeRoy, Virgil and Mrs. Russell (Joan) Mohr, all of Manning; 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Leonard; five grandchildren; a brother, Ed Mordhorst; and two sisters, Mrs. Estella Jahn and Mrs. Hattie Jahn.
