Funeral Thursday
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Huffman Funeral home. The
Rev. C. Hugo Orf, minister of the Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery.
Mrs. Schoening, who was born at Hastings, Iowa, had spent most of her life in Manning and Carroll. She came to Carroll County in 1913. A daughter of William H. and Frances (Fewson) Hull, she was born March 14, 1895.
On September 16, 1914, she married Albert Schoening at Carroll. He preceded her in death.
Survivors
Mrs. Schoening leaves three children: Mrs. Wayne (Edna) Farrell, Carroll, Iowa;
Mrs. William (Frances) Veith, Omaha, Nebraska; and Roy D. Schoening, San Francisco, California; four grandchildren, Duane Farrell,
Carroll; Karen Loneman and Billy and Lorenz Veith, Omaha; three sisters: Mrs. Ida Bird, Omaha; Mrs. Alda
Smith, San Francisco, and Mrs. Olive Hildebrand, San Carlos, California; and the following brothers Jess, Layton, Utha,
and William Hull, Los Angeles, California; Frank, Madison, Wisconsin; and Rolfe, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Besides her husband, who died April 24, 1953, she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, and one brother, David.
Mrs. Schoening had worked for Ocoma Foods here for five years.
She was a member of the Carroll unit, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
