MRS. EFFIE M. WARD Funeral services for Mrs. Effie M. Ward, 75, of Botna, were held at. 2 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning Monday, November 9. The Rev. George Smith of the Botna Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Irwin Cemetery. Ray Pratt was soloist for the service; Bonita (Mrs. Henry W.) Hagedorn, organist.

Mrs. Ward was born November 23, 1884, in Irwin and lived in that community all her life. She died Saturday morning, November 7, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gerald Brown in Atlantic.

She is survived by her daughter and two sons, Archie of Kimballton, and Jasper "Jap" of Manning.

Mrs. Ward was a member of the Christian Church.

Daughter of Benjamin and Ellen (Lucas) Berry, she was born November 1884 in Jefferson Township.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollen Ward who died July 7, 1957, and is buried in East Lawn Memorial Park, Sacramento, California. They were married in 1908.
