EDWIN WILLIAM RUDNICK
Funeral services for Edwin William Rudnick, 80, of Manning, were held Monday, March 18, 1974, at 1:30 p.m. at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning. Rev. Werner F. Wetzstein of the Trinity Lutheran Church, south of Manning, officiated with burial in the Manning Cemetery.
Edwin William Rudnick, the son of August and Bertha Bogatzke Rudnick, was born on June 23, 1893 in Lincoln Township, Audubon County. He attended rural school near his home and was united in marriage to Louise David on December 25, 1924, at Manning. They made their home in Gray, Iowa, where Edwin owned a garage and later a feed mill. They moved to Manning in 1949 when he was employed by the Ohde Furniture Store in the floor covering department. Later Edwin worked independently in the carpet and floor covering business. Seven years ago, he suffered a stroke and has been in failing health since that time, and died suddenly Saturday morning, March 16, 1974.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert, and a brother in infancy.
Survivors include his wife, Louise, one daughter, Mrs. Viola Beese of Wall Lake, two granddaughters, Mrs. Don (Carolyn) Bahr of Wall Lake, and Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Paysen of Walnut; four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Herman (Pauline) Damannn of Manning and one brother Fred Rudnick, of Carroll
