Edna Williams
Edna Mae Williams, 72, died Monday, July 8, 1996, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.

Edna Mae Arlen Langbehn was born November 8, 1923, in Manning, Iowa, to Arthur and Anna (Dammann) Langbehn. As a small child, she moved to the Wolsey area with her family and attended rural school and then Wolsey school. She married Edward A. Williams on October 24, 1940, in Huron, South Dakota. They lived on farms in the Wolsey-Wessington areas all of her married life.

Her husband died May 26, 1986.

She was a member of Wessington Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, Gary of Wolsey; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters: Alice Lyman of Huron; Mrs. Gerald (Helen) Huddleston of Wessington; Dorothy Menning of Wolsey; and Marjorie Garner of Roscoe.

Edna's daughter, Connie Pownell passed away in 1980, and Edna's sister, Mildred Bolte, preceded her in death in 1975.

Services begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Wessington Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Wolsey Cemetery.

Visitation is this afternoon and evening at the Welter Funeral Home, and before services at the church.
