She was born August 17, 1907, in Manning, Iowa, to Edwin and Lucia (Stuedeman) Wiese.
On April 10, 1929, she married Alve Nelson in Carroll County, Iowa, and he preceded her in death December 13, 1993.
Edna was a lifetime member of the Onalaska Order of the Eastern Star and she was also a member of Halfway Creek Lutheran Church, rural Holmen, where she was active in WELCA.
Survivors include a son, Robert J. (Mary Jane) of Holmen; two granddaughters, Jan (Larry) Werner of Onalaska and JoAnne (Cail) Brown of Charleston, South Carolina.
In addition to her husband, Edna was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and a brother.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 17, in the Halfway Creek Lutheran Church, rural Holmen. The Rev. Caroline M. Garman will officiate. Burial will be in the Halfway Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Holmen, Wisconsin.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Jostad-Jandt Funeral Home, West Salem, and also one hour prior to services Saturday in the church.
