Born to Charles and Anna (Fonken) Flenker on July 22, 1921, in Manning, Iowa.

Edna was married to the love of her life Earl Minter for 39 years before his passing in 1983. Edna's life revolved around her family. She had three children: two daughters, Ruth Ann (Lance) Edwall of Long Beach, California, and Karen (David) D'Altorio of Mission Viejo, California, and a son, Gerald, who passed away shortly after his birth in 1947. Edna also leaves behind three grandchildren, Matthew Edwall Michael D'Altorio and Justin D'Altorio.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cornelius Catholic Church in Long Beach, with burial following at All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
