EARL SWANK
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ohde Funeral Home here for Earl Swank, 47, of Newton, formerly of Manning. Mr. Swank, who was injured in a tractor accident Christmas Day, died Wednesday noon, December 28, 1955, at a hospital in Newton.

The. Rev. Grant Elford of the Audubon Methodist Church will conduct the rites. Ray Pratt wilt sing "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden." Burial will be in the Manning Cemetery. Pallbearer's will be Russell Kauffman, John Sunberg, and Emmert Blohm of Audubon, Steve Bowen, Kenneth Rucker, and Arthur Cherryholmes of Newton.

Mr. Swank, born February 24, 1908, at Humphreys, Missouri, came to the Manning community at the age of 19 years.

He was married to Norine Wycoff at Botna September 8, 1929. Mr. and Mrs. Swank moved from Manning to the Audubon community, where they lived for 10 years. They farmed north of Newton the last few years.

Surviving Mr. Swank are his wife; four children, Mrs. Charles (Virginia) Knudsen, Creston; Mrs. Delton (Verna) Boers, Omaha; David and Betty Swank at home; his mother, who lives at Trenton, Missouri; two grandsons, Paul and Stephen Knudsen; three sisters and seven brothers.
