Skins' Pardee's father succumbs
Mr. Earl Charles Pardee, 79, 421 Coulter Drive, Bryan, Texas, died this morning, February 17, 1978, at a local nursing home.

He was the father of Jack Pardee, now head coach for the National Football League Washington Redskins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. John Driscoll, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Rosary service at the Hillier Chapel will be held at 8 p.m. Burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery Audubon, Iowa.

He was a retired farmer and lived in Bryan for the last 22 years.

He was born in Manning, Iowa, June 22, 1898, son of Charles Alson and Emma Cecelia (Martin) Pardee.

Mr. Pardee is survived by his wife, Mrs. LaMeda A. (McNary) Pardee of Bryan; three sons, Jack of Washington D.C., Robert of Houston, and Donald of Rollo, Missouri: two daughters Mrs. Lavonne Coe of East Moline, Illinois; and Mary Collen of Lubbock, Texas: three brothers, Ernest, Bernard, and Giles all of Audubon, Iowa; two sisters, Grace Hagedorn of Des Moines, Iowa, and Mrs. Mary Thompson of Exira, Iowa; 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
