Duane Frank Martens was born December 9, 1932, at St. Anthony hospital, Carroll, Iowa, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

He made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Martens, Sr.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, two brothers, two stepsisters, two step-brothers and his grandmother.

He was preceded in death by a sister and his grandfather. Duane had been in poor health and died at the Carroll hospital on May 27, 1971.
